We don't often get the opportunity to film a Toowoomba wedding but this weekend we did and had a blast doing it. Toowoomba is a beautiful town with some of the most picturesque scenery around. We are looking forward to being back there in 2012 during the festival of flowers, if not before :)
Kara & Shane had the most amazing day.
Shane's brothers both standing up for him on this very important day helped to create some of the most special moments. Brendan, who is a chef in one of Sydney's most prestigious restaurants provided the most amazing wedding cake we have ever seen. And Nathan provided the cutest and most adorable pageboy we have ever seen. I kid you not. One of Bailey's jobs was to welcome the guests at the door of the chapel. He took to this role very responsibly and proudly stood welcoming everyone, tall or short, woman or man, young or old and even the babies.
Whilst Kara and the girls relaxed and were pampered at the Ecoridge Hideaway, Shane and Brendan ran around gathering flowers to adorn the croquembouche wedding cake (yep that's how you spell it!).
It is always heartwarming to me when couples honour their parents and grandparents on their wedding day. It shows a great respect and grounding that I think helps these days to bring a bit of perspective to our fast paced, 'I want it all, and I want it now' lives. Kara had a special photo frame made and attached to her bridal bouquet containing photos of her grandfather and Shane's grandmother who have passed on. She also wore her grandmothers name broach as her 'something old'.
There are so many other things that I could share with you, and once again our teaser only shows just a small taste of all that happened on the wedding day.
Congratulations, Kara and Shane. Here's to many, many years of wedding bliss :)
