One of the things we love about our work is making connections with people we may not have otherwise met. Andre and Kym are no exception. We had the pleasure of meeting them in their beautiful Brisbane home. Knowing they have two little kids I was expecting to see a 'lived in' home (like mine!) but what we found was a gorgeous, stylish decorated, neat and tidy queenslander.
Chatting with Andre and Kym on that first meeting we found out that they had almost parallel working lives. Working in the pipeline construction industry they had worked with the same people, had the same boss (but at different times in different companies), Andre had "share-housed' with an ex-boyfriend of Kym's, they were even at the same Christmas Party one year but had never met each other.
Then one evening doing nothing related to work they met. And the rest as they say "is history".
Andre and Kym came to us fairly late in the planning process. They had wanted a wedding video but decided that the budget just didn't stretch far enough. But when Kym's mum came down with an eye condition - one which will hopefully be rectified after some surgery - they decided that they needed to have it filmed so Mum could see it later. When we met with them Andre said "I wish we hadn't seen your work because now we know we just have to have you film our wedding".
Andre and Kym made sure to include their two adorable children in the proceedings. Surprisingly the kids were just perfect getting their cues and hitting their marks like seasoned wedding day veterans and we made sure to include a little of them in this weeks teaser.
Kym's toast made mention of being a proud daughter and the honour of walking down the aisle with her dad. And since we all felt a little choked up with emotion we thought we'd share some of that beautiful speech with you too.
