There is a theory that says the value of a relationship can be measured by how much it changes you. So often we hear a groom tell his bride that he is a better man because of her. (And yes, sometime the bride says she's a better woman for knowing her husband too.)
Real love changes you. And Sarah and Jarrad have just that kind of a relationship.
The day started early with a bit of fun as Jarrad and the boys grabbed some surfboards and headed out to catch some waves. Shane was all set to film his major remake of "Endless Summer". Sadly he got six amateurs - five of whom had never surfed before. But they all had a red-hot go and no-one drowned so I guess we'll chalk that up as a win.
Richelle spent a relaxed morning with Sarah and the bridesmaids at Aqua Vista Resort. Sarah was very calm and relaxed, enjoying the time with her best friends. She was amused when Greg from Greg Gardner Photography arrived and assured her that all the boys were safe after their big surfing safari.
At the ceremony Sarah's brother gave a traditional reading that defined the meaning of love and later at the reception Jarrad followed up with some beautiful words for his new bride. We all were touched when he described Sarah as "his oxygen". There are few ways so elegant and concise to make the point that you just can't live without someone.
Congratulations to Sarah and Jarrad - may you always be each other's oxygen.
