There was a subtle theme of words and numbers woven through the day. This was no surprise as Carmen, our etherial bride, is a speech therapist with a passion for books.
The lovely bomboniere were bookmarks made from the spines of old books and the table numbers were rather unconventionally numbered for significant events in the couples life. There was definitely a story behind each one. I'm curious of the story surrounding table number 1: The number of underware that Willow ate! The bridal table was number four: The number of months before Garvin said the 'L' word.
There was another book reference that we are itching to share with you. Months before their wedding Carmen came to us with an idea. As a speech therapist she signs with a number of her patients and she wanted to record a beautiful song, The Book of Love for Garvin. We did this and it was showcased as Carmen's speech on the night. There was many a teary eye in the room! You'll have to wait a little to see this.
It was a fun day for all involved with family and friends coming from around the world. Much speculation and joking surrounded the 'traditional' wearing of the kilts! All in all it was evident that Carmen and Garvin are truly loved by those around them and we wish them every happiness.
