What a great day! We found ourselves far from home in the Central Queensland town of Emerald preparing for a beautiful country wedding.
When I spoke with our beautiful bride earlier in the week it was pouring down with rain with more and more forecast for the rest of the week and the weekend! Even so she was relaxed and calm as she arranged for the marquee to be set up early.
On meeting her in person it was no different. Surrounded by five of her besties and a bunch of other lovely girls who work for her she was excited but relaxed and not fussed by the little things. The groom and his boys also took the day in their stride.
It was clear by the sheer number of guests they packed into St Luke’s and the size of their bridal party that Matt & Kristen and their families are well respected and loved by many in the Emerald community. Even on the drive from Emerald to the family property of Boongulla we were stopped a number of times so the Bride and Groom could hop off the bus and share a drink and congratulations with neighbours and friends!
The whole day was a beautiful mix of country, DIY, elegance and a whole lot of fun.
Congratulations Matthew & Kristen may your love grow deeper and your joy spread far and wide. xx
