Kristen & Paul | Vintage Perfection
Monday, April 4, 2011 at 5:47PM A beautiful bride, a handsome groom. Timeless style tied up in a bow of old lace. We were so excited to be filming this wedding.
Kristen and Paul had put together a wonderful vintage theme for their special day and since we love all things vintage here at Lumina we couldn't wait to see how it all turned out. The dress, the pearl necklace, even the authentic cut crystal vases as centrepieces on old fashioned doilies.
After a morning of relaxed preparations at Maleny Manor, Kristen and her attendants walked down the aisle where Paul kindly came forward to escort Kristen to the front and before the majestic vista of the Sunshine Coast and hinterlands they were married before all their most cherished family and friends.
We don't like to talk much about our gear because gear is no substitute for quality storytelling and cinematography but I can't help but mention that we used our collection of vintage lenses almost exclusively during this wedding.
These included our favourite lenses the Minolta Rokkor 58mm f1.2 and 85mm f1.7. These are classic manual SLR lenses from the 1960s, still highly prized by many discerning photographers and specially converted to work with our cameras.
Add to that some special vintage colouring and a few 8mm-style 'light leaks', and our teaser, we hope, will add to the complete vintage package that Kristen and Paul were aiming for.
Much love to the happy couple and please, if you like it, leave a comment at the comments link below.
